Guest DJs

peepshowpaddyPatrick Bickerton, aka Peepshow Paddy, Pimp Daddy Long Legs - to give him his (ok, so its ridiculous) full title - knows how to rock a dancefloor. From humble beginnings falling asleep to the sounds of his brother's stereo in the musical metropolis that Burton-upon-Trent really isnt, this aspiring Oxford based DJ and producer has quickly established quite a reputation for himself, earning media coverage in DJ magazine, Knowledge magazine, the Guardian the Times, the Independent, and Time Out; and on XFM, Passion FM, Six TV Oxford, BBC Oxford and bigchill.net.

Since starting up Peepshow with three talented friends in late 2003 and dreaming of the big time, he quickly broke out of the bedroom and since then has been a very busy man indeed. As well as playing regular gigs in Oxford and around the country, highlights have been the continuing success of Peepshow, and sharing bills with Mylo, Coldcut, Tom Middleton, Mixmaster Morris, Dr. Alex Paterson, The Bays, Hexstatic, Ulrich Schnauss, RSL and The Egg, to name but a few.

Festival packed summers have seen gigs at the Big Chill, the Photonic festival in Holland, Oxfords Truck festival, the Masterpeace festival and as resident DJ for the charity Action Aid, playing to 1,500 people every night in the Action Aid Space at the Reading festival in 2004 and 2005.

His funky and eclectic uptempo sets aim straight for the dancefloor, taking in anything from nu-jazz, deep house, samba and disco to afrobeat, hip-hop, old and nu-skool breaks, drum & bass and beyond, but he still loves mixing up beautiful downtempo as much as anything else.

He has spent the last couple of years concentrating on his DJing career, but when he finds time he records his own music under the pseudonym Fruitless, earning him admirers such as Ulrich Schnauss and alucidnation. He also plays bass in his brothers band the JBX who debuted at 2004s Big Chill festival.

Paddy is the compere at Peepshow, which in turn has led to more work for him MCing other nights, most notably the regular gigs he does for a variety of charities on occasional Sundays at Cargo, in Shoreditch.
