Guest DJs

isaiahmartin15 years of spinning music is quite a journey. Isaiah Martin combines a blistering mix without boundaries of house, progressive and breakbeat. He has the very unique ability to create a hybrid mix of underground sound with influences of rock, hip-hop, retro, and just about anything else you can think of, combined with a distinct aptitude to read any crowd and absolutely rock the house. His trademark style has an inviting quality; never the same twice and always delivering driving, fluid mixes that make it really, really hard to stand still.

In last couple of years Isaiah has catapulted up the ranks in the United States DJ circuit finding himself playing in some of the countries best venues at some of the biggest events. His impact on the large event circuit in the last year has been phenomenal. He has played opening sets for Prince, Aerosmith, Janet Jackson, Sheila E, and Alanis Morisette among others. Grammy night last year was busy as he played with Sasha at BPM Magazines 2005 Grammy party as well as sets for the official Grammy After party. 2006 marks a return to music’s premier event as you can hear him at the Official Grammy Pre-party. For eight years he has been resident DJ for MTV’s big events, including the 2002 MTV Movie Awards. The end of 2002 found him sharing the stage with Moby and mixing the Billboard Bash for the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. These large-scale events allow Isaiah to expand the dimensions of a DJ set by adding live players to the mix, a sound he calls ULTRA-FI. The undeniable talents of Sen-Sei on Keyboards, Mark D’Antonio on Percussion and Dustin W. on Trumpet add live depth to some of the best dance tracks on the planet.

An accomplished club DJ as well, Isaiah headlined the Houseroom every other week as a Spundae and Gods Kitchen resident for 2 years as well as headlined shows at Ice and Studio 54 in Vegas, On Broadway in San Diego, 1015 and Ruby Sky in San Francisco, as well as Opium Gardens and Nikki Beach in Miami. Appearances in his native L.A. include virtually every major venue making up part of nearly a thousand club dates played worldwide.

WMC 2005 found him co-producing and playing the Red Bull Mansion parties. 5 days of world class DJ's playing poolside, broadcast live to several hundred thousand people on XM channel 80. Red Bull has also enlisted his expertise to work with their International Music Academy and Music Labs programs. Heineken continues with their slogan “Its all about the music” and has secured his talents to play the national tour of events to introduce “Heineken Light”.

Isaiah has also garnered major radio industry attention as a resident of Thump Radio where he can be heard on KBIG 104.3, Los Angeles’s largest radio station, mixing the number one rated overnight show in Los Angeles at midnight every Monday and Friday night. He mixed the first hour of the very first show and now approaches the three-year anniversary. For the first Love Parade in San Francisco last year, he played the coveted parade route slot on the XM, Thump Radio Float and returned again this year to play one of the most talked about sets at Love Parade.

Remixing has also kept Isaiah busy. The most recent include remixes for Destiny's Child, Janet Jackson and Mario and he is currently working with the Godfather of Funk, George Clinton on a new track. His consistently evolving sound and seamless integration keeps audiences on their toes, shakin’ what they got, anxiously anticipating what’s coming their way next. Without a doubt, he is innovative, driving and undeniably groovy.
