Inca Silver are back with a brand new release due out soon - we get a sneak peek right now with the track "Into The Ocean"

Indica Silver_album

Inca Silver previous release, 'Electric Summer' is a combination of pop-electronica and ethereal soulful lyrics.  Groovy and edgy at the same time, The Inca Silver project blends elements of electronica, indie, and trip hop in a manner that is cohesive and distinct. Reminiscent of artists such as Sneakerpimps, Mazzy Star, Portishead, Zero 7, and Dandy Warhols, we’ve combined the “old” with the “new” to develop a cutting edge sound. Inca Silver’s diversity makes us a sure fire band for publishing and studio work as well as live performance and touring.

Thia is a soulful songwriter and singer.  Her musical career began in high school under supervision of a highly distinguished music teacher, and continued to develop in college with instruction and training by a professional opera singer.  She’s been in numerous bands and written hundreds of songs.  Thia’s vocals are silky soft and soulful, with a bite to them in just the right places. Her elegance and sexy manner onstage create a dynamic presence that draws one in. Names that come to mind in comparing her to other artists are: Dido, Jem, Sade, and Hope Sandoval.

Evan Bautista "The Metronome” drummer, is also a writer and producer.  Evan Bautista discovered his passion for the drums at age 11. Listening to popular records, Evan played along to them, absorbing the beats he heard. Joining the popular SF bay area punk rockers band ‘Stunt Monkey’ at age 16, Evan was blessed to travel high and low as the band toured across the United States.  Stunt monkey opened for Run DMC, toured with Less Than Jake, and was a part of the 2005 WARP Tour. Their most popular radio singles were ‘Your Mom’s Hot’ and ‘My Girlfriend likes Girls’.

yam_yamYam Yam have brought together a wealth of African influences to their music - blending afro guitar hooks, dance floor friendly breaks and percussion. From Angola to Zimbabwe, Yam Yam's lexicon of African influences spans the mighty continent. Other musical influences are drawn from a diversity of styles from dance to electronica and post punk to dub reggae.

Yam Yam are Rick Turner and Guy Morley. Though currently residing in Vienna and Brighton they met on the Manchester music scene of the early 90s. Guy was one of Manchester’s most esteemed DJs spinning tropical funk in influential clubs alongside Gilles Peterson and Norman Jay. He was also a resident DJ with Mr Scruff at the leading One Tree Island club. Rick Turner cut his Afro teeth as guitarist and band leader for Nigerian master drummer Thomas Odeuso. He was also the engineer behind maverick ‘World Dub' pioneers Suns Of Arqa - who influenced contemporary musicians from Adrian Sherwood’s ON-U Sound to the Orb.

Until now Yam Yam’s recording output has been mostly U.S. based. New York’s influential Codek records picked them up for a number of releases. Based in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Codek were part of the pre-Giuliani party scene hosting world clubs under their Organic Grooves banner. Yam Yam played at parties on the Hudson River and Bowery Ballroom.

Can Yam Yam do the same for the post-dance post-rave generation? Here's the album EATDUBAFROBEAT - make up your own mind…
