Created by the influences of Dee C’rell’s recent music explorations, East, combines the talents of both Dee C’rell and the distinctive trumpet tones of worldrenowned Austrian jazz trumpet player, Franz Hautzinger. With the electronic composition methods of Dee C’rell and the subtle artistic tones of Franz Hautzinger, East is a distinctive and stimulating sound track for the modern world of electronic jazz related music.  West brings Dee C’rell back to familiar territory with the inclusion of the Steinway piano along

with electronic music making practices. The collage of sound within West is understated and creatively detailed. Dee C'rell returns with the excellent double A-side recordings entitled Particles. The two contemporary electro-acoustic jazz compositions are sublimely composed from one of the most intriguing and understated contemporary musicians in Europe. Combining acoustic instruments, soundscapes, multi-layered textures, abstract recordings and minimal electroacoustic treatments, both recordings embrace contemporary electro-acoustic jazz music making practices with detailed progressive ideals.

deeDee C'rell was born in Hackney and grew up in Shoreditch, Central London. He studied music and composition at City University in London and at Blackheath Conservatoire with Jazz specialist Chris Wilson. He has studied Jazz Piano and improvisational techniques, Electroacoustic music, Baroque music, Western and Non – Western Music making practices and has composed and performed within Javanese and Balinese Gamelan as part of an ensemble.

He is a leading expert on Contemporary Electro & Acoustic Jazz and the innovator of the terminology. As an educator he specialises in Contemporary Jazz and Electronic improvisation and teaches the Theory of Harmony and Improvisation with direct reference to Contemporary music practices. He will lecture the principal concepts of Contemporary Electro & Acoustic Jazz in the summer of 2012 whilst publishing his academic treatise on The concepts of Contemporary Electro & Acoustic Jazz.

He has recorded and remixed within various musical genres and first started composing music as a teenager in the electronic music genre entitled, Break Beat, helping to establish this genre to future audiences as Drum&Bass. He has also been involved within House Music since its primary years and has recorded and musically directed for many well-known American and European singers and DJ's. He was once regarded in DJ Magazine as one of the most influential Keyboard players and producers in Urban House Music alongside, Tommy Barbarella and Jimi Polo. In Techno music, he recorded with English dance forerunner, Ian Tregoning who is known for his work with Yello and Underworld. They are credited for helping to establish Tribal Tech House with their pioneering re-working of Jocelyn Brown's I Like it Like that.

Dee C'rell composes and performs within contemporary music whilst also performing as a solo Jazz pianist across Europe. He currently performs and discusses Contemporary Electro & Acoustic Jazz in both performance and academic lectures. He also still remixes within various electronic music genres. He recently established his own contemporary record label, Holm Records. In Art installations and Electroacoustic music, he presented in 2011 a unique set of sound installations questioning; what is our sound? As part of his Absent People installation, it was installed at the Garana Jazz Festival. In London in May 2011, Dee was invited to present his compositional concept, The Inner Voice. The composition was a diffused recording of acclaimed Austrian Jazz and Contemporary Avant-Garde Trumpeter, Franz Hautzinger, using sixteen speakers and remixed live at City University.   In Photography his images are shown around the world and in 2011 were exhibited at the Art Museum and the Triade Gallery in Romania. As a DJ he constantly contributes to UK Jazz Radio with his radio show, The Presents Show that focuses on Contemporary and Electronic music.
