 Wolf + Lamb are Zev Eisenberg and Gadi Mizrahi. After having only The Bunker at subtonic to play their sounds in New York City the two decided they had had enough and went on to build their own venue on the Marcy Hotel. They turned the neglected filthy former machine shop into a world-class club with art installations and a great sounds system.
Opening up in 2005 as the afterhours party for the Mini-Mutek event at the Bunker, they had created a very magical place for techno in New York. Throughout the year they brought through a ton of young shining stars and talent and by the end of 2006 the Marcy closed its doors after a great run only because they had outgrown the space and moved to 12turn13 and continued onward and upward.
By now Wolf + Lamb music the label had begun for original productions as well as music for the artists they had encountered through the events at the Marcy and 12turn13. They were early adopters to the new digital medium and their label provided a no-frills distribution of open source music with free source downloads. By 207 they were offering master quality tracks for sale on Beatport.com and the Wolf + Lamb train continued to roll on.
